Everything you need to know about hiring beds, linen, and bedding from Northern Bed Hire.
Northern Bed Hire supplies temporary beds and linen to businesses across Yorkshire and beyond. Whether you need to hire beds for a one-off event, arrange bed rental for a full season, or set up linen hire in York and the wider county, we have the service. We also offer a bed making service so guests arrive to hotel-standard beds without your team lifting a finger. B2B only, minimum one week hire.
Can you rent a bed?
Can you rent a bed?
Yes. Renting a bed and hiring a bed are the same thing. We supply single memory foam mattresses on folding steel frames, deliver them to your venue, build on site, and collect after the hire period ends. From £22 + VAT per bed. Minimum hire is one week. B2B only.
Can I rent a bed near me?
We are based in York and deliver across Yorkshire and the North of England. For venues in Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Hull, Sheffield, and Scarborough, delivery is usually possible within a few days. Include your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm delivery cost and availability.
Can I rent a mattress near me?
Yes. We hire single memory foam mattresses (90 x 190 x 15 cm) with or without folding steel frames. If you have bed frames already, mattress-only hire is available. For Yorkshire and the North of England, delivery is usually possible quickly. Include your postcode when you enquire.
Can I rent a bed for a week?
Yes. Minimum hire period is one week. Most customers hire beds for a specific event, production schedule, or short season. We deliver, build on site, and collect at the end. Tell us your start and end dates when you enquire.
How much does it cost to rent a bed?
Bed rental from £22 + VAT per bed for orders under 100 beds, and £19 + VAT for 100 beds or more. Delivery cost depends on distance from our York base and is included in your quote. Linen and bedding are priced on request alongside your bed order.
Can I rent beds for guests?
Yes. Hiring beds for guests is one of our main use cases. We supply memory foam mattresses on folding steel frames, delivered to your venue and built by our team. Holiday let operators, event companies, production crews, and corporate accommodation providers hire beds for their guests through us. From £22 + VAT per bed. B2B only.
Can I rent a mattress?
Yes. We hire single memory foam mattresses (90 x 190 x 15 cm) with folding steel frames or as mattresses only. The mattresses are 15 cm deep memory foam and work on any standard divan base or slatted frame. From £22 + VAT per bed including frame, or contact us for mattress-only hire pricing.
What is bed and mattress rental?
Bed and mattress rental means hiring a complete single bed on a temporary basis: a 90 x 190 x 15 cm memory foam mattress on a folding steel frame, delivered to your venue, built on site by our team, and collected after the hire period. It is the same as bed hire. From £22 + VAT per bed. Minimum hire one week.
Bed hire
What beds do you have?
Bulk single memory foam mattresses (90 x 190 x 15 cm) on folding steel frames. Real beds, not airbeds. Raised off the ground, quick to assemble, sturdy once built.
Do you hire folding beds?
Yes. Our bed hire includes a folding steel platform frame alongside the memory foam mattress. The frames fold flat for transport and pop up in minutes on site. No tools needed. We deliver, build, and collect - you do not handle the frames at all. Hire is from £22 + VAT per bed. See our pop-up bed hire page for more detail on the folding frame spec.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on quantity, duration, and delivery distance. As a guide, bed-only hire is from £19-22 + VAT per bed depending on quantity. Bedding, linen, and laundry are priced per job - send us your details for an exact quote.
What is the minimum order?
We typically hire in batches of 10 beds or more. Smaller orders are possible but delivery costs make them less economical. For under 10 beds, collection from our Yorkshire base is usually better value.
Do you deliver nationwide?
Yes. We are Yorkshire-based and deliver across the UK. Delivery cost depends on distance and bed count. We also offer collection from our base if you have your own transport.
Do you set the beds up?
Yes. We deliver, build the beds on site, and collect after the event. You do not need to assemble anything. Frames pop up in seconds and mattresses unroll ready to sleep on.
Can I hire linen and bedding too?
Yes. We offer laundered bedding sets (duvet, cover, pillow, pillowcase, sheet) and towel packs. Beds can be delivered made-up and ready, or flat-packed - your choice.
Can I hire linen without beds?
Yes. If you already have beds but need linen supplied, delivered made-up, and collected dirty for laundering, we can handle that.
Can you rent a bed for one night?
Our minimum hire period is one week, not one night. That said, short-term hires for a festival weekend or corporate event are fine - pricing is quote-based and depends on quantity and delivery location. Send us your dates and we will come back with a price.
Can I hire a single bed near me?
We are based in York and deliver nationally. For Yorkshire cities including Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Hull, and Sheffield, same-week slots are usually available. For further afield, include your postcode when you request a quote and we will confirm availability and delivery cost. See our yorkshire bed hire cities page for coverage detail.
Do you hire mattresses without frames?
Yes. Mattresses can be hired without folding frames if you have existing bed frames or divan bases on site. Our mattresses are 90 x 190 x 15 cm memory foam - they sit directly on a standard divan base or slatted frame without any modification.
Can you rent a bed?
Yes. Renting a bed and hiring a bed are the same service: we supply a memory foam mattress on a folding steel frame, deliver it to your venue, build it on site, and collect after the hire ends. From £22 + VAT per bed. We use the term bed hire but bed rental means the same thing. Minimum hire period is one week.
Do you hire camp beds?
We do not supply traditional folding camp beds. Instead, we hire single memory foam mattresses on folding steel platform frames - a proper raised bed rather than a basic camp bed or cot. Frames fold flat for transport and set up in under a minute on site. Mattresses are 15 cm deep memory foam. From £22 + VAT per bed.
Do you hire folding beds near me?
If you are in Yorkshire or the North of England, yes - we can usually confirm availability quickly. We are based in York and cover Yorkshire, the North West, and the North East as standard. Nationwide delivery is available for larger orders. Include your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm slots in your area. Our folding frame beds are memory foam, not camp beds - see our pop-up bed hire page for the frame spec.
Do you offer a bed making service?
Yes. Our delivery includes making beds on site if you want. We deliver the linen and make the beds up to a hotel standard before we leave, so guests arrive to a properly made bed. If you prefer to make the beds yourselves, we deliver flat linen packs instead. Both options are available; the choice is yours when you book.
What is bed hire near me?
Bed hire near me means a local supplier who delivers temporary beds to your venue rather than you collecting from a warehouse. We are based in York and cover Yorkshire and the North of England as a standard delivery area. For venue addresses in Leeds, Sheffield, Manchester, Bradford, Harrogate, Hull, Scarborough, and the wider North, bed hire near you means delivery usually within a few days. For exact delivery cost, include your venue postcode when you request a quote.
Are beds for hire near me?
Yes. We are based in York and supply beds for hire across Yorkshire and the North of England. Most Yorkshire venues can be reached in one van run from our base. For further destinations, nationwide bed hire delivery is available for larger orders. Include your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm availability and delivery cost. Beds for hire from £22 + VAT per bed.
Can you hire beds for guests?
Yes. Hiring beds for guests means we supply complete temporary single beds - memory foam mattress plus folding steel frame - delivered to your venue, built by our team, and collected after the hire. B2B customers including holiday let operators, event companies, and corporate accommodation providers regularly hire beds for their guests. From £22 + VAT per bed. Minimum hire is one week.
Can you hire a bed for a short time?
Yes. Bed hire is available for a fixed period from one week upward. Most customers hire beds for a specific event, production schedule, or season. We deliver, build on site, and collect at the end of the hire. Tell us your start and end dates when you enquire and we will confirm availability and quote accordingly.
What is guest bed rental?
Guest bed rental means hiring temporary beds for visitors or overnight guests, rather than buying beds permanently. We supply single memory foam mattresses on folding steel frames - delivered, built, and collected. Guest bed rental is available to B2B customers: holiday let operators, event organisers, and corporate accommodation providers. Not available for private domestic use. From £22 + VAT per bed.
What are beds for rent?
Beds for rent and beds for hire are the same thing. We supply 90 x 190 x 15 cm memory foam mattresses on folding steel frames on a rental basis: you hire them for a fixed period and we deliver, build, and collect. Beds for rent from £22 + VAT per bed. Minimum hire one week, typical orders from 10 beds upward for delivered service.
Linen hire and laundry
What is included in a linen hire set?
Each single set includes a duvet, duvet cover, fitted sheet, pillow, and pillowcase in crisp white hotel-grade cotton. Towel packs (bath towel and hand towel) are available separately. Everything is commercially laundered before delivery.
Do you offer linen hire without beds?
Yes. If you already have beds, we supply laundered linen sets, delivered made-up or flat-packed, and collect them dirty after the event for commercial washing. One property per wash run - your linen is never mixed with another hirer's.
Can you supply linen for holiday lets and glampsites?
Yes. Holiday lets and glampsites are a core part of what we do. We supply laundered bedding and towels for changeovers, either as a one-off event order or on a regular schedule. Send us your changeover dates and postcode for a quote.
What areas do you cover for linen hire?
We are based in York and cover Yorkshire and the North of England for linen hire. For events, we deliver nationwide. See our Yorkshire linen hire page for a full list of towns we cover.
Do you offer a laundry collection service?
Yes. We collect dirty bedding, towels, and duvets from your property, wash them to a hospitality standard, and return them guest-ready. Collection and return run on set days in our Yorkshire catchment. Turnaround is agreed when we quote - we do not promise windows we cannot keep.
Can you combine beds and linen in one order?
Yes. Most of our customers hire beds and linen together. The beds arrive built, the linen is made up, and after the event we collect both - dirty linen too. One supplier, one quote, one invoice.
What is bed linen hire and how does it work?
Bed linen hire means hiring commercially laundered bedding rather than buying and owning it. We deliver crisp white hotel-grade duvet sets, sheets, and towels to your property before each stay, and collect the dirty linen afterwards for commercial washing. You never touch a washing machine. Pricing for bed linen hire is on request based on your bed count, changeover frequency, and location.
What is bed linen hire?
Bed linen hire means we supply freshly laundered bedding sets (duvet, duvet cover, fitted sheet, pillow, and pillowcase) ready for use, then collect them dirty after the event or changeover and launder them commercially. For operators who would otherwise have to buy stock, store it, and run their own washing, it is simpler and cheaper - especially for seasonal or growing operations.
Is commercial linen hire available for hotels and guest houses?
Yes. Hotel and guest house linen supply is one of our core use cases. Pricing is per job based on bed count, frequency, and whether laundry collection is included. One-property-per-wash is guaranteed - your linen is never mixed with another customer's. See our linen hire page for more detail or request a quote.
Can I hire linen for holiday lets on a regular schedule?
Yes. Regular changeover laundry is the core of our linen hire lane. We collect after each checkout, wash to hospitality standard, and return ready for the next guests. Schedule and turnaround are agreed when we quote. See our Yorkshire linen hire page for more on how the service works.
What is bedding hire?
Bedding hire means hiring commercially laundered duvet sets, sheets, and pillowcases rather than buying and owning them. For events, productions, and holiday lets that need bedding infrequently, hiring is simpler than buying stock and running your own laundry. We deliver hotel-grade white bedding sets ready for use and collect them dirty afterwards for commercial washing. Pricing is on request based on your bed count and location.
Do you offer hotel linen hire near me?
If you are in Yorkshire - York, Harrogate, Leeds, Scarborough, Hull, Bradford, Sheffield, or anywhere in between - we are your nearest commercial linen hire supplier. We are based in York and deliver hotel-grade bed linen and towels to hotels, guest houses, boutique accommodation, and serviced apartments across the region. Contact us with your room count and changeover frequency and we will quote within 24 hours.
How much does linen hire cost?
Linen hire pricing is on request and depends on your bed count, changeover frequency, and delivery distance. We do not publish a standard rate card because the cost varies significantly by volume and location. Request a quote via the linen quote form and we will come back with a clear figure within 24 hours. Bed hire is from £22 + VAT per bed if you need beds as well.
Towel hire
Do you offer towel hire?
Yes. We hire thick white bath and hand towels for events, holiday lets, and hospitality use. Towels are commercially laundered before delivery and collected dirty afterwards. Available as a standalone service or alongside bedding sets.
Can I hire towels without hiring beds or linen?
Yes. Towel hire is available as a standalone service. Tell us your volume, dates, and venue and we will quote.
What towels do you supply?
Thick white towels - bath towel and hand towel per person. Hotel-grade, not thin hire-quality. Laundered at industrial temperature before every hire.
Do you hire towels for holiday lets and Airbnbs?
Yes. Towels are a popular standalone add-on for holiday let operators who already have their own beds but need a regular laundered towel supply. See our Yorkshire linen hire page for more on how the service works or request a quote.
Glamping and holiday lets
What is a holiday let laundry service?
A holiday let laundry service collects your dirty bedding and towels after guest checkout, washes everything to a hospitality standard, and returns it guest-ready before the next guests arrive. We operate a collection and return service for Yorkshire holiday lets, Airbnbs, glampsites, and shepherd huts. Collection and return schedule is agreed when we quote. Pricing is on request.
Do you supply linen for glampsites and shepherd huts?
Yes. Bell tents, shepherd huts, pods, and outdoor accommodation are a big part of what we do. We supply laundered bedding sets and towels either made up on arrival or flat-packed. Collect the dirty linen after the event or changeover and we launder commercially before returning.
Can you handle changeover laundry for a holiday let?
Yes. We collect dirty bedding and towels after checkout, wash and press everything to a hospitality standard, and return it guest-ready. Turnaround is agreed when we quote - we work around your changeover schedule, not the other way around.
What areas do you cover for holiday let laundry?
Our laundry collection rounds cover North Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, and parts of East Yorkshire. Regular routes include Harrogate, Leeds, Scarborough, Whitby, Skipton, Ripon, and surrounding villages. Tell us your postcode when you enquire and we will confirm coverage.
Can you supply linen for an outdoor event or festival glamping village?
Yes. We have supplied beds and linen to bell tent villages, glamping festival areas, and outdoor accommodation for events across Yorkshire and the North. We deliver made-up sets, collect dirty linen after the event, and launder commercially before the next one.
General
How far in advance should I book?
Summer dates (June-August) are limited - most of our stock is committed to long-running events, so book as early as you can. October to April we have full availability and can sometimes turn around in 1-2 weeks.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations more than 14 days before delivery receive a full refund. 7-14 days: 50% refund. Under 7 days: no refund (we will have reserved stock and crew).
Do you handle film and TV productions?
Yes. Our beds suit crew accommodation where the production has tents or structures but needs the beds. We understand location logistics and can work around call sheets.
Are the mattresses clean?
Yes. Every mattress is inspected and cleaned between hires. Linen is commercially laundered every time, no exceptions.
What if a bed gets damaged?
Minor wear and tear is expected. Significant damage (ripped mattress, bent frame) is charged at replacement cost. We will discuss this upfront so there are no surprises.
Do you cover Yorkshire laundry services?
Yes. Our laundry collection rounds cover York, Harrogate, Leeds, Scarborough, Whitby, Ripon, Bradford, Sheffield, Hull, Wakefield, Doncaster, Halifax, and surrounding areas. We collect, wash to hospitality standard, and return on agreed days. See our laundry service page for more detail.
Delivery
What areas do you deliver beds to?
We are based in York and deliver across Yorkshire as standard. Most Yorkshire venues, including Leeds, Harrogate, Bradford, Hull, Sheffield, and Scarborough, are within a standard delivery run. For larger orders we deliver nationwide; contact us with your venue postcode and bed count and we will confirm coverage and cost.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery cost is included in your quote. It depends on the distance from our York base and the number of beds in the order. We do not publish a fixed delivery rate because a 10-bed delivery to Leeds and a 100-bed delivery to Birmingham cost very different amounts. Send us your venue postcode and bed count and we will include delivery in a clear all-in figure.
How quickly can you deliver?
We aim to respond to every enquiry within 24 hours with availability and a quote. Delivery timing is agreed at booking and depends on your dates, your location, and current availability. October to April is our quietest period and we can often work to shorter lead times then. Summer dates fill up quickly, so the earlier you contact us, the better.
Do you deliver and collect the same day?
No. Our minimum hire period is one week. We deliver on an agreed day and collect on an agreed day at the end of the hire. Same-day delivery and collection is not part of the service.
Can you deliver to festival sites?
Yes. We have delivered to festival sites and outdoor event venues across Yorkshire and the North. We can work around site access windows and call-sheet timings. Beds can be built inside tents, yurts, and temporary structures. Contact us with your event dates and site address and we will confirm whether we can help.
Do you do short-notice delivery?
Contact us with your dates and venue postcode and we will confirm what is available. Short-notice delivery is more achievable between October and April when our schedule has more flexibility. Summer bookings are much busier and we cannot always accommodate late requests. The best approach is to get in touch as early as possible.
Bed making service
What is a bed making service?
A bed making service means we deliver your linen and make every bed on site before your guests arrive, so each bed is ready to a hotel standard. We fit the sheet, lay the duvet, dress the pillows, and leave the room guest-ready. If you prefer to manage that yourselves, we deliver flat linen packs instead and your team makes the beds up. Both options are available; you choose when you book.
Do you offer a hotel-style bed making service?
Yes. On request, we make every bed on site to a hotel standard: fitted sheet, duvet, duvet cover, pillow, and pillowcase all dressed and squared off before we leave. You can also opt for flat linen packs if you would rather your team makes the beds up. Tell us which you prefer when you book.
Is bed making included in the hire price?
On-site bed making is available as part of your hire. Tell us when you book whether you want made-up beds or flat linen packs and we will include that in your quote. Just let us know at booking which option you want and we will plan accordingly.
Can you make beds for holiday let changeovers?
Yes. For regular changeover customers in Yorkshire we can make beds ready for incoming guests as part of our linen hire service. We deliver fresh linen and make the beds up on site so everything is hotel-standard before your next guests arrive. Schedule and frequency are agreed when we quote.
See our beds for hire, York linen hire, Yorkshire linen hire, laundry service, linen hire, towel hire, and linen quote form for more detail.
